In memory of my beloved youngest brother whose sudden and tragic demise left me...........De.....his second elder sister....forever wishing that I had gone back to Temerloh for the last Hari Raya whose memory will forever be in my heart. Forever wishing that I should have smsed or called him even though he did not return my sms or call since the last time I met him after my umrah July 2007. ( I prayed hard for chik during my 7 rounds of Tawaf in one of my umrah but I remembered I overlook to ask for his longevity ....only ALLAH knows why.) He gave me a faraway look when I last met him in July left me wondering why he gave me that look.....but ........busy with my life as a career mom ......UiTM lecturer at Dungun, Terengganu......and the start of the new semester....and with my two youngest .....Nana and Syafiq forever fighting for my attention.............that thought soon faded away. I did smsed my younger sister.....working in Kertih , Terengganu wondering why Chik did not return my sms and call................he must be busy ....my akak replied. I called my younger sister akak because of Chik so that......my sister will not be called by Chik by her name since mymom insist on showing respect to your elders.
15th October 2007............my kids especially my youngest ....Nana wanted to treat me a to birthday makan at KFC or Pizza Hut the next day....my 49th birrtday. But............around 6 pm I received a call from Ngah........my eldest sister ............." De, Chik accident.....kat Serting, Negeri Sembilan." I called the operator enquiring the nearest hospital to contact...........Kuala Pilah said the operator. I called Kuala Pilah hospital,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nope ...they said, it should be Jempul Hospital. I called and was transferred to the emergency............ Yes, there was a Mr Mohd Faizal Kamaruddin.........is he plump...the doctor said. No....I said and I felt happy because the last time I met Chik he 's quite thin....3 months has gone by so he must have increase sideways ..........so that person was not my Chik. Ok do you remember his birthday..............how could I forget his birthday, Yes....it is 6th November 1973. ( I was in Form Three then ...........my favourite art teacher...the late Cikgu Abu Samah Puteh scolded me for going to school b'cos I just finished sitting for my LCE = PMR now . "Kata nak dapat adik baru....ya cikgu. Habis kenapa pergi sekolah, pergi balik bantu mak kat rumah. At that time Long was in JayBee dping Form Six and Ngah in UPM, Serdang ,,...so I was the eldest at home.)Yes ...thats right said the doctor. I asked , did he wear a medical bracelet.....yes and the doctor start talking about medical terms that I don't even knew how to pronounced.....all I know his valve had gone wrong because of rheumatic fever. Then I knew that he was my Chik........Joe Labi ..............my beloved youngest brother. The moment the doctor said he has expired on the way to hospital...............I cried..........."Chik ............dah tak ada"........I told my hubby and my kids........along- Amirul, my eldest son buzzed his cousin Ngangah in Russia ....and I called Long, Ngah and akak immediately . I asked my hubby to call the rest because I just cannot stopped crying and I am still crying............to this very day.
May ALLAH blessed Chik because Chik............adalah anak yang soleh dan adik De yang cukup baik orangnya
